BioSense Institute
BioSense Institute coordinates and advances research on and promotion of state-of-the-art information and communication technologies (ICT) solutions in different fields, including agriculture, ecology and environmental protection. BioSense Institute is an internationally recognized multi-disciplinary scientific research center and a regional provider of advanced ICT in agricultural and environmental monitoring. In BioSense Institute, recognized by the European Commission as a "scientific lighthouse in the region", novel scientific concepts such as “smart dust”, “crowdsourcing”, “compressed sensing”, “digital fountain” and “open innovation” are applied in various real-life cases. With state-of-the-art equipment and with an international group of more than 60 researchers, BioSense Institute is able to perform scientific research at the global level and contribute to the development and sustainability of eco-innovation in the areas of major importance for society - agriculture and the environment. As a result of the multidisciplinary orientation, scientific work and cooperation with innovative companies and Regional Government of Autonomous province of Vojvodina, BioSense Institute founded and hosts the first European Living Lab with specific focus on Precision Agriculture (PA4ALL). PA4ALL is an open innovation eco-system promoting user-driven precision agriculture in the region of Vojvodina and is a member of the European Network of Living Labs (ENoLL).
Role in ALL-Ready
BioSense Institute will be involved as a co-leader of WP4 on Project Sustainability as well as will be involved in various tasks in WP6. WP4 will reflect the network sustainability plan in the long run, taking into consideration the importance of maintaining the project results after the duration of the project. The WP will address recommendations for policies as well as to ensure the long-term success of Living Labs. Additionally, BioSense Institute will develop the business plan of the project and the added value the network brings overall. In WP6, the tasks related to Innovation and IP Management as well as the Data Management Plan will be addressed the BioSense Institute.
