Ecologic Institute
Ecologic Institute is an independent, not for profit private research institute dedicated to bringing evidence-based ideas to environmental policies and sustainable development.
The institute is dedicated to co-creating and translating scientific knowledge for environmental policy by working directly at the policy-science-interface. Researchers at Ecologic Institute conduct applied empirical research, undertake policy evaluations and contribute to improvements in policy design and implementation. The application of innovative research methods and the transdisciplinary approach ensure scientific excellence and societal relevance. Ecologic Institute covers a wide spectrum of environmental issues and provides ongoing expert advice to policymakers through its framework agreements with the European Parliament, the European Environment Agency and the European Commission.
Role in ALL-Ready
Ecologic Institute supports Work Packages (WP) 3 and 4. In WP3, it leads the synthesizing activity, drawing together the findings of the stakeholder engagement and the pilot network. Thereby, it translates insights into tangible recommendations feasible for upscaling. In WP4, Ecologic Institute will support efforts to identify challenges and needs within the agro-ecological community and factors to ensure the long-term sustainability of an agro-ecological network, including a funding strategy and policy recommendations.
